The Gainers’ Almanac is to be the best resource for anyone trying to gain weight, of any kind, for any reason. Posts discussing strategies, nutrition, recipes, do’s and dont’s, anecdotes, and general advice all to serve the needs of those looking to put on at least a couple pounds. Kilos, stones, whatever.
Why?
Because some people need it. You can’t cross the street without stumbling on somebody telling somebody how to lose weight, and while that’s perfectly good for the ones who are trying to, it seems advice for the opposite is few and far between. For a long time prospective gainers’ have had to subsist on sparsely populated information tailored mainly to body-builders and individual accounts of what may or may not work for one body or another. But here at Gainers’ Almanac is a place where you don’t need to merely, subsist. You may feast.
But to be honest, it’s because I need it. If you’re like me; feeling short on time, short on options, short on cash, and needing to put on weight like your life depends on it (it kind of does) then I hope this site can be a helpful resource as well as a genuine source of comfort. You are not alone. And you don’t need to go digging for scraps on the internet for conflicting advice (“Just drink olive oil.”, “For the love of all that is good do not drink olive oil.”) and unachievable routines (“A dozen eggs first thing in the morning.”,”Hit the gym 8 days a week.”). Gainers’ Almanac has all that we need and more. It’s a struggle, it is. But we will struggle together.
In a world where advice and information on how to lose weight is around every corner, it can be hard to find a place for those looking to gain it. This is that place. Whether your goal is to gain muscle, healthy fat, or just knowledge; you’re right where you belong.
